Outside Issues Clergyman S Jaishankar said on Saturday that India will trust that the Canadian police will share data on the three Indian men that it has captured and accused of the homicide of Khalistani pioneer Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The Canadian police charged the three men on Friday over the homicide of Nijjar saying they were examining whether the suspects had connections to the Indian government.
Responding to the turn of events, S Jaishankar said he has seen insight about the captures saying the suspects “clearly are Indians of some sort of group foundation… we’ll need to trust that the police will tell us,” according to a Reuters report.
“However, as I expressed, one of our interests which we have been telling them is that you know, they have permitted coordinated wrongdoing from India, explicitly from Punjab, to work in Canada,” S Jaishankar added.
Regal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Partner Magistrate David Teboul reported the capture of the three people on Saturday who have been accused of the killing of Nijjar.
